Poppy Walk
This is a sponsored walk run by the Berkshire and Vale County of the Legion annually in May. Open to all, this family friendly event invites walkers to challenge themselves to either a 5 or 10 mile circular route, setting off from Ardington Sports Club (OX12 8PF) and returning to lunchtime entertainment. Walkers are encouraged to collect sponsorship for the event with proceeds going to the Poppy Appeal. Charity and youth organisations can enter “teams” and split their teams total raised 50-50 between the Poppy Appeal and chosen charity.
